William Grobel

  • William graduated from Keele University with an English & Visual Art degree and spent two years working in a number of marketing roles at companies before specialising in marketing and PR at Alban Communications.
  • He then joined a full service marketing agency, managing the communication strategy and implementation of a number of media brands. He set up a research division in 2002 to evaluate the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, managing projects for brands including Nike, Ellesse, UIP, Wrigley's, Cadbury and Emap.
  • Since joining Intangible Business, William has carried out a number of global brand valuation projects for brands including Laura Ashley and Japan Tobacco. He also carried out a valuation of the RSPB brand and an evaluation of its brand and licensing opportunities and an analysis of L'Oreal's cosmetics brands. Additionally, William has worked on planning, licensing, M&A and brand strategy of a number of other brands in sectors including FMCG, fashion, retail, publishing and the charity sector.
  • He holds a Professional Diploma in Marketing, a Professional Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing and is a member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing. in 2007, William won the Economist Award for achieving the top paper in the world for The Chartered Institute of Marketing's Strategic Marketing in Practice - the institute's most senior qualification.
