Simon Bibby
Background
- Simon qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers in 1980 after obtaining a degree from Durham University in 1976. He spent eight years with PWC as a manager working on audit for a variety of clients such as British Telecom, Rover Group and other projects for clients including DeLorean Motor Cars Ltd. And Banque Francaise de Credit Internationale. As well as English, Simon speaks French, German and Japanese.
- Over the past twenty years Simon has held a number of senior financial management roles in a variety different industries including oil, financial services and property. Companies he has worked for include Deloitte & Touche, Liberty International and Morgan Sindall.
- In1999 he was appointed Group Finance and Operations Director for UK and Europe for Kajima Europe, a group of European companies with a turnover of $434m. Here, he was responsible for the integration with the Japanese parent company and initiated effective corporate restructuring, financial reporting, joint-venture and I.T. infrastructure improvements throughout the group.
- Simon became a management consultant for Continental Capital Partners in 2001 and has since worked in close partnership with a variety of client in international environments. He has been involved with Intangible Business as a senior consultant since 2004, contributing to intangible asset valuation projects in a variety of fields including technology, telecoms and pharmaceuticals.
